Buy a t-shirt and win a Lamborghini
"IT’S THE LITTLE THINGS THAT HAVE THE BIGGEST IMPACT..."

Welcome to my story

If you want to know why this boring car ad (being super honest) changed my life and inspired me to start the "Need $ for Lambo" community, you have two choices:

The “story text” is long, I know, sorry, but I wanted to make sure that anyone who comes by the webpage and wants to learn more about the project and me, has the opportunity to do so. So, let’s get it…

Welcome

KEY MOMENTS

Hey! My name is Niko and in my life, career ideas have changed quite frequently; yet, one of my main aspirations up until March 6th, 2018, was to become a car designer. A dream that transformed on that particular date as a result of one video and one person - the video is currently playing above this text the person will be mentioned in the text later. After university and countless successful and failed projects / ideas, I began working with OneLife Rally, where the desire to be one of the drivers became stronger with each day. How to become one of them? I had no idea, but then, in September 2023, a light sparked.

“A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LAMBORGHINI OWNER”

    Geneva 2018

When I was 17, I sneaked into the Geneva Auto Show “press days” with the objective of meeting as many car designers as possible, showing them my sketchbooks, and possibly landing a university proposal or an internship at one of the major automotive manufacturers (I followed the “dream big” motto lol).

After some "great" meetings with BMW, Italdesign, Audi, and Ferrari (they were polite to me since I was a kid, but the internships remained dreams), I went to the Lamborghini stand. I was turned down three times that day because they were too busy (of course, they had more important things to do than listening to a 16-year-old kid's dreams and ideas), but on the fourth try, I was able to get in and show my skills to Mitja Borkert - Head of Design at Lamborghini.

As he was checking the sketches, after a couple of seconds of silence, he said that his 4-year-old child can draw better than that and then left the office since a new Lamborghini was being unveiled in 10 minutes.

The assistant apologized, I placed the sketchbooks back in my bag and because the new Lamborghini presentation was in a few minutes, I waited, and before displaying the car, Lamborghini aired a teaser demonstrating "a day in the life of a Lamborghini owner". At the time, as "dumb" as the video was, it stuck in my brain all the way till I got back home and made me reflect about the whole situation at the Lambo stand. I realized that car design would never (or very hardly) repay me with the life shown in the presentation film and that I needed to do more and be better to reach that life; the video presentation was about the new Lamborghini Huracan EVO.

ALL EXCELLING AT WHAT THEY DO; OTHERWISE, THEY WOULDN’T BE PART OF ONELIFE

    OneLife

In the meantime, a lot of things happened, but that's a story for another day. Fast forward to 2022, when OneLife Rally saw my potential and invited me to join their team since they needed a "frontman" and someone who could propel their marketing, particularly on social media - The rest, well… is history.

8 events, 23 nations, and countless memories with individuals from all over the world, all excelling at what they do; otherwise, they wouldn't be part of OneLife - A fact that reminded me of the Lamborghini video and made me reflect… A reality that inspired me to be more than a corporation employee that does not go further than what is expected of them. I knew I would soon be on the other side of the OneLife team with a Lamborghini, and I wasn't scared to tell everyone about it. It was just a question of time.

“...I COULD EASILY PRINT THOSE MYSELF AND DO A COUPLE FOR YOU AS WELL…”

    September 2023

On a random day at the OneLife offices, a coworker came to me and told me that she found the perfect t-shirt for me: it said "NEED MONEY FOR LAMBORGHINI”. A cool t-shirt that, honestly, I thought about purchasing until I noticed the price tag of $90.

We (our family company) have been printing and creating t-shirts at our family business since I can remember, so I knew that this pricing was a total overcharge. For that reason, I answered, "Yeah, the concept is cool, but I could easily print those myself and do a couple for you as well for that same price" and from that moment, I started thinking how I could create this with the right approach.

That evening, I began working on my own “NEED MONEY FOR LAMBORGHINI” T-shirt, using my “designer spice” instead of copying others. To cut a long story short, I took the $ from our Ta$ty logo (a brand that my day ones know about), substituted the word “money” with it, shortened Lamborghini for Lambo (because it sounds a little bit simpler and cooler…. doesn’t it?) and posted it on my Instagram profile because I thought it would be fun - Those stories exploded - A huge amount of people were replying and saying that they were going to buy that t-shirt to support my goal of purchasing a Lamborghini. But it didn't seem right.

What is the reward for the people, the community, who support me and are willing to buy a t-shirt I designed for such a (honestly) materialistic reason? Even if I sell enough t-shirts, do I really deserve a Lamborghini at this point? So I will sell t-shirts to my followers and then flex the Lambo on them on my stories…? With these questions, I’ve put this idea on hold… Not for too long.

I REALLY DO “NEED $ FOR LAMBO” BUT… WE ALL DO RIGHT?

    Now

After some time and some comments from my buddy Ilija, I recalled about this project again in January, but this time, I wanted to re-write the rules of the project and offer the community the ultimate prize, which I've been craving since 2018 - I really do “Need $ for Lambo” but… We all do right?

That’s why I threw an “UNO Reverse Card” and decided to reward one of the purchasers of the “N$FL Tee” with a Lamborghini Huracan. Yeah I know, it sounds waaaaay too good to be true, but I’m doing it and nobody is stopping me.

I am setting the goal to 20.000 sold T-Shirts

When this goal is completed, I will personally be drawing one person who will get the Lambo Huracan (yes, a real one) and deliver it to him / her. Before the Huracan draw, I added 7 more levels to make the wait more enjoyable and engaging. Each level has a set “Sold T-Shirts” goal and a prize to it - The sooner you buy the T-Shirt, the more prizes you will be eligible to get drawn for (for example, you buy a tee at level 2, you will be eligible to win the prizes of level 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and the Huracan) - One person could be even drawn for multiple prizes, that depends on your luck.

GOOD LUCK

With that, I believe I explained the entire story behind the “Need $ for Lambo” idea, but of course, if you have any questions or concerns, you can check the FAQ on the footer of this page or even text me directly on Instagram - I’m not the best replier (never was), but I will do my best to answer all of your texts / questions.
